Who Is Charging My UPI AutoPay? Find Every Active Mandate

See every live UPI AutoPay mandate in one place with NPCI's UPI Help portal, work out which company is behind an unknown merchant name, and stop it.

Seeing a UPI AutoPay debit you don't recognise? Each UPI app only shows the mandates you approved inside it, so a mandate can easily hide in an app you rarely open. NPCI's official UPI Help portal can show mandates across apps. This guide shows how to list every active mandate, and how to work out who is actually charging you.

Quick answer: go to upihelp.npci.org.in, sign in with your UPI-linked mobile number and the SMS OTP, and open your AutoPay mandates to see them across apps. Or check each app: PhonePe → Profile → Payment Management → AutoPay; Google Pay → Profile → Autopay → Live; Paytm → Balance & History → Automatic Payments.

Check every mandate at once on NPCI's UPI Help portal

    1. Go to upihelp.npci.org.in — NPCI's official UPI Help portal.

    2. Sign in with the mobile number linked to your UPI account and enter the OTP sent by SMS.

    3. Choose the option to view your AutoPay mandates. Mandates created in Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm and bank apps can appear together.

    4. Open a mandate to see the merchant, the maximum amount and how often it can debit you. You can pause or revoke it from there; any change has to be authorised with your UPI PIN.

If a debit is already being processed when you revoke, that one payment may still go through. The next one won't.

    Check each UPI app

PhonePe → Profile → Payment Management → AutoPay (full PhonePe guide). Google Pay → Profile → Autopay → Live tab (full Google Pay guide). Paytm → Balance & History → Automatic Payments (full Paytm guide). Bank apps → UPI → Manage Autopay or Mandates.

Cross-check with your bank statement: UPI AutoPay debits usually carry the word MANDATE or AUTOPAY and the merchant name in the narration. Match each one back to a mandate in your apps.

Who is charging my UPI AutoPay? How to identify an unknown merchant

    1. Open the mandate and note the merchant name, amount limit, frequency and the UMN (Unique Mandate Number).

    2. Expect a legal or payment-company name. Mandates often show the company's registered name or its payment partner, not the app or brand you signed up for. Search the exact name together with the word "subscription" or "autopay".

    3. Search your email and SMS for the merchant name and the amount. The sign-up receipt or the pre-debit notification you get about 24 hours before each charge usually names the actual service.

    4. Check app-store billing. Subscriptions bought inside Android apps are billed by Google Play, so the mandate may show Google's name rather than the app's. Open Play Store → profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions to see which app it is.

    5. Still don't recognise it? Revoke the mandate and report it to your UPI app or bank, quoting the UMN. Fake mandate requests usually arrive through SMS links or pop-ups; genuine ones start inside the merchant's own app or website.

    After you find it

Revoking a mandate stops future debits but does not cancel the service or refund past payments, so also cancel inside the merchant's app. Step-by-step help: how to cancel any UPI AutoPay mandate.

Saveiy consolidates this into one screen: every active mandate, its cap, its next trigger date, and a one-tap deep link to the exact app where it lives. Most users find 2–4 mandates they'd forgotten about on the first scan.

    Frequently asked questions

Who is charging my UPI AutoPay?

Open the mandate in your UPI app or on upihelp.npci.org.in and note the merchant name and UMN. The name is often the company's legal name or payment partner, so search it, check your email and SMS for receipts, and look at Google Play subscriptions. If you still can't identify it, revoke it and report it to your bank.

Can I see all my UPI AutoPay mandates in one place?

Yes. NPCI's UPI Help portal (upihelp.npci.org.in) lets you sign in with your UPI-linked mobile number and OTP and view mandates across UPI apps. Inside a single app you only see the mandates approved in that app.

What is a UMN in UPI AutoPay?

The UMN (Unique Mandate Number) identifies one specific mandate. It is shown in the mandate details screen. Quote it to your bank or UPI app if you need to dispute or block a mandate.
