How to Find and Audit Forgotten Recurring Charges Safely
A safe, step-by-step audit method to surface every forgotten recurring charge across your cards, UPI mandates, and app stores — without handing over bank…
Most people have at least a few recurring charges they've forgotten about. They survive because the amounts are small enough to slip past a casual glance and the merchant names on statements rarely match the product you signed up for.
The safe way to audit is to work from the sources you already control, not from a third-party app that asks for your net-banking password. Start with your primary card statement for the last 90 days. Filter for identical amounts that appear monthly — that pattern alone surfaces most subscriptions.
Next, open your UPI app (PhonePe, GPay, Paytm) and navigate to Profile → AutoPay or Manage Mandates. Every active UPI mandate is listed here with amount, frequency, and merchant. Cancel anything you don't recognise.
Then check your app store subscriptions. On iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. In-app purchases and app-store-billed OTTs live here and nowhere else on your statement.
Finally, search your email inbox for 'receipt', 'renewal', 'thank you for subscribing', and 'trial ending'. Sort by date. Every recurring service sends at least one of these; the pattern is unmistakable.
Saveiy runs this exact audit continuously in the background, using read-only billing signals from your inbox. We never see your card number, UPI PIN, or bank password — we only read the same confirmations your bank already sends to you.
